The 135th Tournament of Roses Parade will be held on January 1, 2024, in Pasadena, California. The parade will start at 8:00 AM PST and will travel 5.5 miles down Colorado Boulevard. 2024 beckons a new Rose Parade, one that will honor the power of music as the universal language. On June 21, 2023, an exciting event happened at Tournament House. Musicians from various countries assembled to play music. It was called World Music Day and it celebrated the different kinds of music from around the globe. This event takes place every year on June 21, which is also known as the International Day of Music.
In 2024, the World Music Day presented by Remo featured performances from musicians of different cultures like India, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. People of all ages could enjoy workshops, demonstrations, and other fun activities.
The event was open to all, no cost required – a chance for everyone to come and join in the fun! People didn’t need tickets, but it was a good idea to register on the Tournament of Roses website.
Here’s what the schedule looked like for the 2024 World Music Day:
- From noon until 5 p.m., there was a Community Jam Session where musicians of all levels could play together. No experience was necessary.
- Between 3 and 5 p.m., there was a workshop called Rhythm Wellness and You. It talked about how music helps with health and well-being, and why it’s important in education.
- From 6 to 7 p.m., there was a Community Drum Circle led by Remo. People could join in and play drums together. Everyone was welcome, no matter how good they were.
Besides these events, there were also food trucks, vendors, and other things to do at Tournament House.

Equestfest
Every year, Equestfest gallops into town, a thrilling celebration of the grace and strength of these magnificent creatures. The event will take place at Brookside Park in Pasadena, California, on December 29, 2023.
Equestfest features a variety of events, including:
- Horse shows: Visitors can watch talented riders and horses compete in a variety of events, such as dressage, jumping, and Western riding.
